After the success achieved with the refurbishment of Barrancos’ house and Chamusca’s Continuing Care Unit inaugurated December 10th 2009, a new construction was delivered to Tranfor II – Engineering and Construction SA, the new Moura’s Continuing Care Unit. Promoted by ACIMEG, this unit will have 30 internment beds, with 12 medium-term rehabilitation beds, and 18 long-term maintenance beds. With a 12 months deadline, the construction will cost about 1,800,000.00 Euros, and its conclusion is expected to March 2012. The chairman of the Association’s board considers that this Unit represents an asset to Moura’s county because, since Hospital de Moura this is the first time the county will have a hospital unit typology. The construction of the new social equipment, Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Barrancos’ was completed by the end of the year 2010. A retirement home, a day care center, domestic support services and a nursery will be installed in the building. Transfor Interiors recasts and preserves the interior of an historic building in the center of Leiria's urban mesh. The requalification of the building, which front is one of the mainly images of Leiria, protected by IPAR due to its public interest and patrimonial value, has revealed to be an ambicious work for Transfor Interiors' team. The construction is quite old, and has building systems from another time, which provided some serious conservation problems that made our team's work harder, but at the end became interesting from a technical point of view. MDMoldes, a reference company in the development of molds for the plastic industry, is recasting its headquarters' workplace, counting with the help of the architects Bruno Almeida and Lisete Abreu that concepted the project.
